Every development starts with proper project management. A project plan is to be made, kept up-to-date and followed that contains at least the following:
- planning including activities, deliverables, timing and allocated resource
- project phases (e.g. concept, design, verification, validation, design transfer) concluded with milestones
- project milestone reviews (go/no go) including review of deliverables of that phase
- project risks including mitigations
- project resources both human and non-human
- project communication structure (towards stakeholders, project meetings)
